Paul Fried

Paul Fried was born in 1947 in Englewood New Jersey.He began his studies with his father Milton Fried, a professional musician, at the age of 7. At the age of 8 - 1955- Fried began studying with the legendaryJulius Baker at the Juilliard Preparatory School ( 1955 - 1958)on Full Scholarship.Heplayed on the Arthur Godrey show at the age of10, and played the Mozart G Major Fluteconcerto that same year with the Suburban Symphony, an orchestra which also included his father and two brothers.He also performed with the graduate students in the upper school at Juilliard.
