Popular 1950's British vocalist from London (died in 1971 aged 41 in a car crash in Wales) Had two number 1 UK hits with Christmas Alphabet - the first ever seasonal song to do so) and Finger Of Suspicion (used in soundtrack to 1988 film Distant Voices, Still Lives) Had his own TV show in 1956.
