Akiko Yano

Akiko Yano (矢野顕子 Yano Akiko) is a Japanese pop and jazz musician. She was born as Akiko Suzuki (Suzuki Akiko) on February 13, 1955. She married and soon after divorced Makoto Yano, a producer of her first recording. She later married Ryuichi Sakamoto, one of the members of Yellow Magic Orchestra, who she divorced in 2002.Her music is by turns playful, heartfelt, melodic, ornate, and disarmingly simple, reflecting a love of music in all its forms and colors.
