The Excellents

Formed originally as the Premiers in 1960 in New York, USA, the Excellents consisted of John Kuse (lead), Joel Feldman (baritone), Denis Kestenbaum (falsetto), George Kuse (first tenor), Phil Sanchez (second tenor) and Chuck Epstein (bass). They signed to Mermaid Records, where their revision of Al Jolson’s ‘When The Red, Red Robin, Comes Bob-Bob-Bobbin’ Along’ was coupled with another cover, the Jesters’ ‘Love No One But You’, as their debut single.
